Debbie L. Berry Legacy Award

The Debbie L. Berry Legacy Award was established in 2014 by the Central Florida Chapter of Women In Defense (WID). It celebrates the accomplishments of the founding President and emeritus member of the chapter, Debbie L. Berry, and her exceptional leadership, mentoring and community involvement in the defense industry. With a strong WID presence ascertained for the State of Florida, additional Florida chapters were established.

To promote collaboration and best support their respective memberships, the leadership from Central Florida, Space Coast, Greater Tampa, and First Coast (no longer active) Chapters established the Annual WID Florida Chapters Board Retreat. The Debbie L. Berry Legacy Award was embraced at the state level, permitting all WID Florida Chapters to submit their nomination to recognize an individual’s exceptional contributions.
